Decathlon

This is a great place if you need something for sport or outdoor activities. It's easy to spend quite a lot of time in this store. The shop is split in to the different sport activities to make it easy to navigate round but its worth looking what is available down other aisles. There is a large range of sporting equipment and clothing under each activity.


The goods are of a good quality at a reasonable price and they sometimes have some brands in as recently a got some Solomon trainers which were £30 dearer elsewhere. It's easy to go mad and buy items you didn't go in for but at them prices you don't mind as much.


It's great just to see what they have and give ideas for getting active, anyone for Frisbee? (Maybe not in windy conditions).


This shop is great, the staff are friendly too and helpful but are happy enough to let you wonder round.

Decathlon is a cracking place for anything vaguely sports related!


They have a massive range of stock at good, very very competitive prices.


The store itself is massive, with plenty of free parking and is also in an easy location to visit via public transport.


I've purchased a variety of items here, from football socks to camping gear. They carry items from most of the major brands, but also have their own cheaper brand.


The staff are always helpful and polite and the store is easy to navigate with various departments (split into sports) stretching across the wide building.

If you're off to a festival this summer, you'd do well to have a trip to Decathlon first.


My trusty £30 pop-up tent has braved the wilds of Scotland and unseasonable monsoons on the Irish coast. My trusty sleeping bag from Decathlon also kept me nice and toasty on the same trips.


Not that cooking will be in the forefront on your minds as you pack for Leeds or Glastonbury, but they also sell mini camping stoves so you can make yourself a morning-after bacon butty and they also sell wellies lots and lots of wellies!

What to make of this huge shop that caters for almost every sport under the sun? The range of stock is very impressive especially for the outdoors and it's undeniably cheap. However, most of the stuff is own brand and it can be a bit hit-and-miss when it comes to quality (the silk sleeping bag liner is a bargain and perfectly adequate but whatever their posters may show I wouldn't want to be hiking in the Alps in their shoes).


I also feel that customers are left to their own devices a bit too much. It does seem sparsely staffed (but that's one of the reasons they're able to offer such low prices) and there's no willingness to stop children trying out the footballs or even bikes in-store which can be irritating and possibly even dangerous.


On the plus side there's ample free parking.

Plenty of free parking about and the staff are really helpful and friendly.


Can usually pick up all your sports and camping needs here and its at great places.


My first stop for sports gear.

A good place for sporting equipment. The prices in Decathlon are really low and the atmosphere in the store is really laid back!

This place is rockbottom sporting heaven. Absolutely te best sport emporium around, with fantastic prices. The primark for the sportsworld you might say.


Free parking, and everything from bikes to boxing, ballet to badminton. Be careful though, you might go in for gogles and come out with an inflatable canoe.

Can I put 6 stars? I could spend hours in Decathlon! It stocks every bit of sporting equipment you could need, at great prices. We have bought all of our camping stuff here, including a fantastic quality tent, all of our daughter's dancing gear here at much lower prices than the local dance shops, and I buy all of my running gear here too, at £6.99 for a technical fabric t shirt, you can't go wrong! Brilliant shop! They also do a reward card and I have had several vouchers through the post to use there.

We have never visited Decathlon before the other week and then only went on the off chance when looking for new bikes for the family. We had tried all the little shops and some of the chains but either quality or price were wrong Decathlon had great prices with no compromise on quality we were well impressed, the staff were helpful and knowledgeable too.
Such a great range in all sports equipment and prices to suit every budget.

Pretty awesome sports megastore that has a huge range of stuff for loads of different sports. As such, it is suitable for loads of different people and lifestyles. Decent prices, great advice and pretty good range of products.
