Our stay is for 1 week. Day 1, room was given to use where the air system didn't work. Room was horribly hot. After telling them at 3 pm of this issue no one came to look at the issue even though they claimed maintenance was alerted. It was 5pm when I alerted the front desk that no one came to see about this issue. They then moved use. Day 2 at 7am phone rang and knocking at the door. Fire alarm to the room went off and they couldn't repair issue asked use to move again. This time manager Costa promised the more would be to our liking with a river view. Had to pack and move out not to have a room to go to for 3hours. Room given was a 2 floor room not looking at a river but at a building across the street. Day 3-7 After asking for the complaints registar, the front desk instantly called over the actual manager and regional manager. Once I explained my disappointment to them we were finally provided appropriate reparations for our troubles. Executive suite with a stocked bar, champagne, and dessert served to the room.
Thank you to the Crown Plaza for making things right.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - josh H.Melville, Stati Uniti97553026 mag 2017
This hotel is poorly kept up. The water in the bathroom faucet was cold even when the shower water was warm. The window would not close so you could hear everything on the street. The bathroom smelled like someone just used it when I arrived. And the front desk doesn't pick up the phone.
But it is a good price.... I guess.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dan G.Ashburn, Stati Uniti0411 set 2019
Clean hotel, but terrible customer service. Two days in a row I could not get coffee with breakfast. No one even bothered to ask. After asking twice each day I gave up.
Also not a god hotel for business travelers. Unlike Marriott, if you leave a day early they will charge you for the unused night. I gave IHG a shot, but it's not for me or my company.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kathleen E.Bothell, Stati Uniti94214419 nov 2017
The staff at the Crown Plaza went out of the way to make sure my stay was outstanding. The one problem I had in the bar in the evening was resolved beyond what I would have imagined - and not because I brought it to their attention, but because the manager asked as I was going back to my room.
Our hostess (and apparently a manager) at breakfast was an absolutely delight every morning. Over all, I can't wait to go back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 2 giu 2014
overall I was happy with my week long stay here at the Crown Plaza. Although not as convenient as some other locations, it is by the DLR so with a few extra minutes you can get anywhere you want.
The hotel rooms are very nice, modern, good size, great showers and plenty of pillows. They have free WiFi and it works well until late evening when it slows down a bit.
I've not eaten here so can't comment on that, BUT, there are several good restaurants just down the block!
This location has definitely made it to my list of places to stay while in London / Canary Wharf area.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Fiona R.Glasgow, Regno Unito4141313 feb 2015
I've stayed here several times for business trips and on each occasion the staff could not have been friendlier. The rooms are always very clean.
If in a room facing the river, it can be a little noisy but not enough to disturb my sleep!
Food has always been very good too with staff always willing to help.
The hotel also run a shuttle to local businesses which is invaluable and can be booked in advance with the concierge.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sam T.Broomfield, Stati Uniti419817 mar 2016
So many things not to like. Terrible internet speeds, incompetent staff, bland breakfast, weak shower power, and they call a taxi service that overcharges. Use uber.
The attached bar is crap and full of weirdos who know nothing and take forever to get an order. They tried charging us for drinks we didn't order.
It's really that bad.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Siobhan B.Melbourne, Australia35581110 set 2015
Comfortable room with 2 x Queen size beds for 2 adults and a child, so plenty of room over a 2 night stay.
The shower/bathroom and toiletries were very nice.
There were a few things that were less than 100% clean when we arrived (such as rubbish in the bin and a a couple pieces of food rubbish on the carpet), but overall it was a very pleasant stay.
The staff were helpful and professional.
I would stay here again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ayman K.Ilford, Regno Unito567599 nov 2008Primo recensore
There is a sufficient difficulty these days in locating good venues for weddings, parties and large-scale events that are close by but not in the heart of Central London where parking is impossible and prices are sky-high. People are generally seeking a venue that has a good location [by that I mean, not surrounded by concrete slabs and giant, yellow cranes that one has to decorate with 'welcome!' signs for international clients or judgmental relatives from abroad!], sufficient room-space and of course, a reasonable price...enter Crowne Plaza!
With a variety of packages available for all occasions that include one of the many conference/events rooms they have on offer, Crowne Plaza strives to match the criteria that the client presents.
A lovely view of the River Thames from all it's floors and a contemporary, stylish interior - The Crowne Plaza is an ideal venue for large birthday bashes, small wedding receptions and of course, the always entertaining, office Christmas parties.
May I also add - the hotel rooms are B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L so get the baby-sitter over and book yourself a room for a minature weekend-getaway by the Thames!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nicole B.Royal Oak, Stati Uniti49619231313 nov 2012
The Crowne Plaza Docklands was my favorite place we stayed on our family trip to England. We stayed here for 3 of our 8 nights, and were very happy with our room. We booked our room on Priceline, and somehow got a smoking double room reserved. We had 4 in our party, and they were willing to accommodate us with a non-smoking room with a pull-out sofabed for no additional fee.
We wanted to stay at a nice hotel, but didn't want to pay a lot. Our main requirement was being close to public transit, and the Crowne Plaza Docklands was right off the Royal Victoria DLR line. One stop west at Canning Town, and you can transfer to the Jubilee Tube line. Between the DLR and the Tube, it really was only an additional 5-10 minutes out of the way from a hotel that we would have stayed at closer to central London.
One bonus - there's a Tesco express and a Londis market a few steps away from the hotel. We bought a lot of our groceries and snacks at those markets, and our room had a mini-fridge to keep the perishables. We didn't ever eat in the restaurant that adjoins the hotel, but it was nice to know we had the option.
One of my favorite little perks of the room - they give you a little box that says "This works: Sleep." It includes two aromatherapy items, a roll-on and pillow spray. I was suffering from some jet lag...but after using the spray, I drifted off into dreamland.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
