Crown Hotel

We enjoyed our second visit to the Crown. We had been there the night before for drinks and the menu looked good.
Nice pub, super friendly staff. We were sat in the back bar by one of the speakers. They turned the music down for us as it was a bit loud (80s music though ).
A good variety of choices- between the 5 of us we ordered two Crown Pies, the lamb and two chicken Caesar salads. The meat pie was wonderful - if you eat meat- this is a must- juicy steak, delicious gravy and flaky yet crisp pastry. The lamb was delicious too.
The Caesar salad though was odd- it certainly did not have a garlicky caesar dressing- very little lettuce and I don't think it was romaine. The chicken was cubed and soaked in the dressing. It wasn't bad- but I would call it a "Crown Salad" .
Beer and wine were good and we all had a relaxing time. We weren't rushed and again the service was good.
