I have seen Dr. Kali for a few months now and the experience has been nothing short of remarkable. After receiving recommendations from multiple people, I decided to give Dr. Kali a try for issues stemming from multiple brain surgeries and physical and emotional trauma. With acupuncture, herbal medicine, and shamanic healing, I have experienced a dramatic reduction in headache frequency and severity.

Dr. Kali is uniquely suited to address the needs of individuals who are struggling with brain injuries and trauma. I have seen many practicioners and few (if any) have truly attempted to address the complexities of brain injury and the assorted accompanying issues (constipation, fatigue, chronic pain, seizures, etc). I have often felt neglected and confused in the treatment I sought. By contrast, Dr. Kali provided for me a profoundly healing opportunity and experience complete with treatments, referrals, and recommendations.

In addition to excellent (and effective) care, Dr. Kali has always been professional, honest, and exceptionally compassionate. I feel fortunate to have access to her services and highly recommend her to others.

Highly recommend this acupuncturist. Understands chronic pain and how it affects personal daily life, function and those around us. She is a healer.

After seeing practitioners in San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Chicago, Denver, and Palm Springs, I haven't found someone so effective and intuitive as Dr. Kali. If I could find a way to work with her after my work in Eugene is complete, I would in a heart beat!

She has an excellent mix of sensitivity, professionalism and the ability to really pin point issues that you may or may not be aware of. Her ethics are also applaud able as her GOAL is to make you better, not to keep you coming back.

Consider her services before spending a lot of time in the Western medicine world, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised and grateful.

I have had several appointments with Sariantra. I initially saw her for acupuncture, and later for Shamanic healing. I have always found Sariantra to be extremely compassionate, caring, intuitive, and gentle. Her attentive and accepting presence is very soothing and healing in and of itself, and she is a skilled practitioner. She is the only person I've ever had acupuncture from, but as far as I could tell she did it effectively and gently (considering it involves being stuck with needles!).

When the acupuncture became progressively more painful for me, she encouraged me to listen to myself and not subject myself to something that was turning out to be traumatic for me. I only continued to suffer as long as I chose to ignore that it wasn't the right treatment for me (I am super-sensitive to pain, and have a history of having trouble with shots).

When I started seeing Sariantra I was a total skeptic about Shamanism, but after a handful of Shamanic healing sessions I am now a true believer. I have been enormously helped by the healings I've received from Sariantra. I have been to another Shamanic healer since who is well-respected in this community, and have actually experienced more profound and undeniable benefit from Sariantra's work. It is my opinion that she has an innate gift for this work that is rare and unusual, and has unique abilities which make her especially effective.

I have seen Dr Kali many times for acupuncture. Most noticeable: I had a cyst growing under the skin of my lower cheek. My dermatologist scheduled me for surgery to have it excised. This would have left a scar. I asked Dr Kali if she could help and she agreed to try. She said it could take as many as 10 visits. During the first appointment she placed needles around the cyst (not in it.) The cyst was gone the next day after only one brief and painless treatment. I am VERY happy to refer people to Dr Kali and I do! Ironically, my health insurance would have paid for the surgery (megabucks!)but it would not pay for the acupuncture. Go figure!

First off, they moved to 1695 Jefferson.

Other than needing a few minutes to find the new location, our experience could not have been better. Developing a severe lower back pain while on vacation is a challenge. Finding Ancient Rivers well-reviewed we made an appointment. The treatment by Sariantra was very professional. It was a very inter-active experience, with her asking questions and adjusting her applications depending on the response.

The proof of the matter was that immediately following the single treatment the pressure in my back was much improved and the pain much reduced. Next time we come to Eugene we will be coming back to her!

I just noticed there are two filtered five-star reviews for Sariantra Kali's practice. I hope mine doesn't get filtered because I'm giving her 5 stars as well, and really can't recommend her highly enough. I have no doubt that she earned the reviews that got filtered.

My prior experience with acupuncture was limited to two previous sessions with two different practitioners. The experience I had with Sariantra was by far the best, and most effective. I was blown away by the change I experienced immediately after the first session. I know they recommend at least six sessions, but I got a coupon deal that covered the full evaluation and the first two acupuncture sessions, and that was enough that the problem I was having hasn't reoccured. That, to me, is amazing, as it was a problem I'd been experiencing for a couple of months and had tried to treat with other methods-- cured in two sessions! Who wouldn't rave about that?

Sariantra was professional, easy to contact and schedule with, her office was convenient, easy to find, nice (her treatment room has a very happy plant that vines around the wall) and comfortable. Throughout the whole experience I never felt like I was receiving anything less that a full-paying customer would, and that to me is key. She was thorough in her evaluation, offered me tea each time, checked in about my comfort throughout the process, made adjustments as needed. She was very responsive and obviously wanted to ensure a pleasant and effective experience.

Sariantra is obviously very knowledgeable in her field, and is very results-driven in her practice. It's hard to imagine going to anyone else, and I'd recommend her to anyone. She did recommend another cheaper group acupuncture style clinic for me to visit "so I could keep getting acupuncture" and said she liked their philosophy and treatment style. (I'm guessing she did this because I indicated I was unemployed on the intake form.) I thought that was very nice and selfless of her, and showed she cared more about me getting the help I need than about making money. (Which is not something I expect from any business person.) However, I'd rather save up my money and go back to see her to work on some other issues. She's definitely earned any acupuncture dollars I can spare, and more than worth every penny she charges.

Went twice, 2 times too many. VERY expensive compared to others and I was left with a painful lump the 2nd time which took 2 months to go away. Absolutely no help what-so-ever. I realize this doesn't work for everyone but it shouldn't injure you further. Also, Money was a very big thing with her. Wanted it first and foremost. I did not have coverage with my insurance (she charges more if you do have it) yet she kept trying to say I did have it and ran my health ins. anyway, treating me like I was lying. I pointed out to her that she's not a preferred provider and therefore my ins. provides no coverage. She said it works for some others (fraud?)and admitted that she isn't a preferred provider and did not want to be. Fine, but no need to be defensive about it nor to badger a patient to try and get more $money. $200.00 for nothing! And that was her so-called discount. Go get trigger point massage-MUCH more effective at about touch or Dr Cheryl Geesick on Main St., Springfield. Her Physical Therapy is the best in town!

Amazing L.Ac!!! I have been to many people for treatments, but Sariantra is one of the most talented energy healers I have experienced. In a very short moment, she was able to zero in on my pathology and address deeper issues that I have not had addressed before. Wow! I will most certainly be returning to her clinic.

I highly recommend Sariantra Kali, the acupuncturist at Ancient Rivers. She is very skilled in the placement of needles and has the insight to ask the right questions. I felt much better after the treatment and actually was pain free in certain of the areas that I had complained of. Ancient Rivers is in a very sweet home with a welcoming ambiance and comfortable, heated treatment table. Excellent.
